The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world. WAGGGS supports female-oriented and female-only Guiding and Scouting organizations in 153 countries. It aims to empower girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world through non-formal education, leadership development, and community action. The headquarters is part of The Olave Centre, named in honour of Olave Baden-Powell, the World Chief Guide. Pax Lodge, one of WAGGGS' five World Centres, is also located at The Olave Centre, making it a unique hub for global Guiding activities and international visitors.

WAGGGS operates globally through its 153 Member Organisations, reaching over 10 million girls and young women. Its functions supported globally include: delivering non-formal education programmes (e.g., leadership skills, body confidence, environmental action), international advocacy on issues affecting girls (e.g., gender equality, girls' education, ending violence), capacity building for Member Organisations, fostering international friendship and understanding through events and its five World Centres, and promoting community development projects worldwide.
