The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime supports a wide array of functions globally, leveraging its network of over 500 experts and staff operating in more than 40 countries. These functions include conducting field research and data collection on illicit economies, publishing in-depth analysis and flagship reports like the Global Organized Crime Index, providing capacity building for law enforcement and civil society actors, developing evidence-based policy recommendations, and facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues at national, regional, and international levels to counter diverse forms of transnational organized crime.
