The National Children's Alliance (NCA) is a United States-based not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to helping local communities respond to allegations of child abuse in ways that are effective and efficient, and that put the needs of child victims of abuse first. NCA provides training, technical assistance, advocacy, research, and national leadership to Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) and communities throughout the country, promoting the CAC model as the standard for child abuse intervention. Their vision is a world where every child thrives in a safe, supportive environment.
Serves as the primary operational hub for national leadership, policy development, advocacy, training curriculum development, grant management, and member support for the nationwide network of Children's Advocacy Centers.
Located at The Wharf, a modern, mixed-use waterfront development known for its contemporary architecture and vibrant atmosphere. The office space is designed to be professional and facilitate collaboration.
A mission-driven, passionate, and collaborative environment. Staff are deeply committed to child protection and advancing the CAC model. The culture emphasizes expertise, advocacy, and support for its members.
The D.C. location is crucial for NCA's advocacy efforts, allowing direct engagement with Congress, federal agencies like the Department of Justice, and other national partners to influence child abuse policy and funding.
While the National Children's Alliance primarily focuses its efforts and membership within the United States, its model of Children's Advocacy Centers has gained international recognition. NCA may share best practices, provide resources, or consult with international entities seeking to adapt the CAC model to their own countries' needs for child abuse response. They also support CACs located on U.S. military installations abroad.
