Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is the U.S. Navy's Echelon II shore command responsible for all Navy shore installations under the claimancy of the Chief of Naval Operations. CNIC's mission is to enable the Navy's Operating Concept through Enterprise-wide shore installation management and support. It provides services such as port operations, airfields, housing, Fleet and Family Readiness programs, public safety, and environmental stewardship to support the fleet, fighter, and family. CNIC HQ, based in Washington, D.C., sets policies, allocates resources, and provides oversight for Navy regions and installations globally, ensuring they are ready and effective.
