Bollore Ports was a major division of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, specializing in port operations and management across Africa. It operated numerous container terminals, conventional ports, and provided stevedoring and maritime services. Historically, Bollore Ports played a crucial role in developing African port infrastructure and facilitating trade. In December 2022, Bolloré Group sold 100% of Bolloré Africa Logistics, including Bollore Ports, to the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Group. Subsequently, in March 2023, these assets were rebranded as Africa Global Logistics (AGL), which continues to be a leading port and logistics operator on the continent.
This central office directed strategic planning, investment decisions, and provided operational oversight for Bolloré's extensive port and logistics network in Africa.
The headquarters is located in the Tour Bolloré, a modern office tower symbolizing the global presence and diversified activities of the Bolloré Group.
The work culture, reflecting Bolloré Group's ethos, was characterized by a long-term investment vision, a strong focus on operational excellence in logistics, fostering local partnerships in Africa, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
This location was pivotal as the nerve center for managing one of Africa's most comprehensive integrated logistics networks, significantly contributing to the continent's connection with global trade routes.
Bollore Ports historically managed and operated an extensive network of 21 port concessions worldwide, including 16 container terminals, primarily concentrated across Africa. Their services encompassed stevedoring, terminal operations, and integrated logistics solutions. This network was instrumental in connecting African economies to global supply chains. While the core focus was Africa, these operations were part of the wider Bolloré Transport & Logistics global network, ensuring seamless cargo flow and logistics support across continents. Following its acquisition by MSC Group, these operations now form the backbone of Africa Global Logistics (AGL).
