Anderson Ranch Arts Center is a distinguished, year-round visual arts community located in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Established in 1966, it is dedicated to enriching lives with art, inspiration, and community. The Ranch promotes artistic growth, discovery, and dialogue through immersive workshops for artists of all levels in diverse media such as ceramics, painting, photography, sculpture, woodworking, digital fabrication, and more. It also offers prestigious artist residencies, visiting artist projects, public lectures, exhibitions, and community programs, fostering a vibrant environment for creative exploration and exchange. Its historic, five-acre campus provides an inspiring mountain setting for artists to learn from internationally acclaimed faculty and connect with a dynamic global arts community.
The headquarters serves as the primary campus for all artistic workshops, artist residencies, exhibitions, administrative operations, community engagement programs, and public events.
Historic ranch buildings thoughtfully repurposed into state-of-the-art studios for various disciplines (ceramics, woodworking, digital fabrication, painting, etc.), art galleries, a lecture hall (Schermer Meeting Hall), a café, and artist housing, all set against a picturesque Rocky Mountain backdrop. The campus includes the Fischer and Patton-Malott Galleries.
