Find ICP contacts in companies

When targeting a company or account, identifying the right contacts is the first step. 

A large list with thousands of company names that fit your ideal customer profile (ICP) is only valuable if you can connect with the key decision-makers in each one. 

Ideally, you’d reach out to not just one, but all the relevant stakeholders in the company so you can multithread effectively

The more ICP contacts you find and strategically reach out to, the better the chances are that at least a couple of contacts from the company respond to you. 

Here, we'll show you how you can use Highperformr to do just that.

What you need:

  • The list of company names and company domains or URLs in a CSV format 
  • A definition of your ICP - the kind of contacts you want Highperformr to find
     

Step 1: Import your target account list 

You start with creating a new audience segment on your Highperformr account. Open up a blank segment and rename it before you populate it with the target accounts and contacts. 

Step 2: Configure the people search criteria

Once the list is in, you can find the relevant contacts based on your ICP criteria. You need to tell Highperformr what kind of contacts you want to populate your segment with, defining the job titles, department, country, and other such information. Highperformr will then work its magic to pull out the list of all the people that match your requirements. 

We recommend creating specific criteria to ensure Highperformr shows only relevant profiles. Clearly specify:

  • Job titles (Manager, Director, etc.)
  • Seniority levels (Manager-level, Director-level, etc.)
  • Department (Marketing, Finance, etc.)

For example, specifying "Manager-level” and “Marketing" will display profiles with titles like Manager, Senior Manager, and Assistant Manager from the Marketing department only rather than throw out profiles that aren’t relevant for you at this point. 

Step 3: Add contacts to your segment 

Highperformr will pull out all the relevant contacts and have it ready for you. You can then choose how many you want added to the segment. 

Pro-tip: Be mindful of the number of contacts you import, as each one consumes 1 credit.
