How to Identify Profiles That Engage with You on LinkedIn
Investing time and effort into consistently posting great content can feel like a waste if it’s not reaching the right people. To make sure your efforts aren’t in vain, it’s crucial to track the profiles that engage with you on social platforms. Tracking profiles that engage with you on social platforms helps you understand your audience better and restrategize if necessary. Some questions you can answer include:
- Who exactly is engaging with your posts – age, location, industry, title or designation – and how can you use this information to tailor your content better?
- Is your content reaching the kind of audience you’re targeting? If not, how wide is the gap between your target audience and the profiles that are currently engaging with you?
- Are there any new high-value profiles engaging with you that you can nurture and build relationships with, and potentially leverage for your business?
- What formats and types of content perform best with your audience, and how can you adjust your strategy accordingly?
- When is your audience most active on social media, and how can you optimize your posting schedule to maximize engagement?
- Is your audience growing or shrinking, and what factors are contributing to that change?
- Are you identifying any potential opportunities by analyzing the profiles that engage with your competitors?
- Who are the key influencers or advocates engaging with your content, and how can you leverage those relationships?
- How can you segment your audience into different groups, and what strategies should you use for each segment?
Follow these steps to track profiles engaging with your content:
- On your Highperformr dashboard, navigate to the Audience section from the left-hand menu.
- Click on the Create New Segment button located in the top-right corner.
- Give your segment a meaningful name, like “My Company’s Audience” or “My CEO’s Audience,” to keep your lists organized.
- Add LinkedIn profiles. You can add LinkedIn people profiles, LinkedIn company handles, or even find the audience for a specific LinkedIn post. This flexibility allows you to track exactly the profiles relevant to your content and business goals.
- Decide whether you want to track inbound (profiles engaging with your content) or outbound (profiles your account is engaging with). Use the toggle to set this preference.
- Specify the time frame for which you want to collect data—whether it’s the past week, month, or a custom range.
- Voila! Your audience list is ready! You’ll have access to detailed information about the profiles interacting with you, including:
